How music was captured
Researchers recovered sound from an experimental Volta Laboratory wax disc in 2013. Modern recovery techniques can sometimes make nineteenth-century experimental recordings audible again without conventional playback. The tunes on one experimental Volta Laboratory disc were identified as Killarney and Hot-Shot March.
