Banda Los Locales

How music was captured

The tunes on one experimental Volta Laboratory disc were identified as Killarney and Hot-Shot March. A Volta Laboratory wax disc preserves two instrumental tunes performed by an unidentified cornet quartet. Modern recovery techniques can sometimes make nineteenth-century experimental recordings audible again without conventional playback.
