How instruments evolve
A Sterling Sinfonet harmonica in the Smithsonian is tuned to the key of C. The Smithsonian's Sterling Sinfonet harmonica uses a wooden comb between metal reed and cover plates. A ten-hole diatonic harmonica can contain twenty reeds, giving each hole both blow and draw notes.
