A music-history note
Jazz guitarist Johnny Smith worked with musicians ranging from Benny Goodman and Art Tatum to the New York Philharmonic. Johnny Smith was a regular performer at New York's Birdland jazz club. Smith's 1952 recording of Moonlight in Vermont with Stan Getz became an influential example of cool jazz guitar.
