THE EIGHT10
Waupaca, WI
From the bandstand
An orchestra's exact makeup changes with the piece being performed; there is no single fixed roster for every score. The orchestra is organized into families of instruments whose contrasting tone colors can be blended or separated. String players can sustain extended passages without the breathing limits faced by wind and brass players.
