From music history

Chuck Berry's guitars became part of rock-and-roll's visual language as well as its sound. Chuck Berry owned a 1959 Gibson ES-350T electric guitar nicknamed Maybellene. The Gibson ES-350T combined electric amplification with a hollow or semi-acoustic guitar tradition familiar to early rock players.
