From another era

Producer J Dilla used a Minimoog Voyager synthesizer in Los Angeles during the early 2000s. The Smithsonian preserves J Dilla's studio equipment as part of the history of hip-hop production and American music. The Minimoog Voyager is a monophonic analog synthesizer, meaning it is designed around one played note at a time.
