The Larry DeLawder Family
Around the music
A late-1930s Slingerland catalog offered a Songster guitar, case, and amplifier package for $150. Slingerland's solid-body Songster appeared several years before Les Paul's famous experimental Log guitar. Slingerland briefly sold electric guitars before leaving that market around 1940 to concentrate on percussion instruments.
